Tottenham legend labels behaviour of current star ‘a joke’ – Not Harry Kane

Tottenham Hotspur legend, Graham Roberts has labelled the behaviour of Tanguy Ndombele ‘a joke’ in North London amidst reports the midfielder is not fit.

Spurs completed their final pre-season match against Arsenal this weekend, defeating their bitter North London rivals 1-0.

However, Ndombele was not in the matchday squad again, meaning the Frenchman failed to appear in a single pre-season game for the Lilywhites this summer. This comes as the midfielder had no other Euro 2020 or Olympic commitments either.

The Athletic reported after the game that Ndombele was available for selection but Nuno chose to leave him out, with the Frenchman now considering his Tottenham future.

The likes of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Davinson Sanchez and Giovani Lo Celso have gone deep into their respective summer tournaments, taken holiday and then returned to action before Ndombele.

Tottenham paid a club-record £53.8m for Ndombele from Lyon back in 2019, but the midfielder has not yet become a consistent first-team player under any of his four Spurs managers.

Spurs Web Opinion:

This really is Ndombele’s last chance at Spurs. If he cannot make it in a midfield three system that suits his game down to the ground, he won’t make it at all in the Premier League. He seems to have all the skill but no attitude or desire.
