Tottenham legend sends classy message to latest player to leave

Tottenham confirmed yesterday that they had reached an agreement with Turkish giants Besiktas for the transfer of winger Georges-KevinNkoudou.

Nkoudou moved from Marseille to Tottenham in the summer of 2016 but failed to start a single Premier League game in his three years at the club.

The Frenchman had loan spells with Burnley and Monaco but struggled to impress in either spell.

Nkoudou did come off the bench on several occasions for Pochettino’s side including last season against Fulham when he provided the cross for Harry Winks to head home a late winner.

Despite opportunities being in short supply at the club, the winger sent a classy message to the fans after confirming his departure from North London.

Tottenham legend Graham Robers has now taken to Twitter to wish the pacey wide man the best in his new adventure in Turkey.

While Nkoudou undoubtedly showed some moments of quality in his substitute appearances and his pre-season performances, it looks like Pochettino was never convinced about the winger from day 1. Being an out and out winger, Nkoudou was someone who never fit into the Argentine’s philosophy and probably shouldn’t have been bought.
