Tottenham legend takes aim at Gary Neville for alleged double standards

Graham Roberts has called out Gary Neville’s for double standards and has accused the former Manchester United pundit of trying to push Harry Kane out of Tottenham.

Kane gave an interview to Neville towards the end of last season in which the Tottenham striker admitted he would have a conversation with Daniel Levy about his future.

The England captain also seemingly issued a come-and-get-me plea to Manchester City in the interview, stating that he would love to play alongside Kevin De Bryne.

Tottenham’s resisted City’s advances for the England captain during the summer transfer window despite the striker allegedly not showing up for training in an effort to force Spurs’ hand into selling him.

However, Kane’s form has left a lot to be desired this season, with the striker looking a shadow of his former self.

When Neville took to social media to defend his reluctance to criticise Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in response to a tweet by Piers Morgan, Roberts questioned why the pundit did not have any issues with pushing players away from Spurs.

As much as I love Roberts and the way he calls out anti-Spurs bias in the media, this tweet from him makes no sense. Kane could have easily turned down the interview but it was clear that the striker wanted to publicly voice his intention to leave Spurs.

I do not know how Neville can be blamed for the Tottenham striker’s actions and what it has to do with his unwillingness to call for Solskjaer to be sacked.
