Tottenham legend urges Son to bandage up fractured arm and play on

Tottenham legend Graham Roberts has urged Son Heung-min to bandage up his fractured arm and get back on the pitch.

The club confirmed Son will undergo surgery on his arm this week and could be out for an extended period.

The South Korean reportedly picked up the injury in the early stages of Sunday’s win over Aston Villa but remarkably proceeded to complete the entire ninety minutes, netting a brace which also included a late match-winner.

However, with Kane already out of action with a hamstring injury, Son’s injury comes as a real blow to Spurs going into a crucial part of the season.

Jose Mourinho admitted that he was extremely short of attacking options without the 27-year-old and claimed he might have to play without a striker in the coming weeks (Football.London).

Roberts has urged the Son to somehow soldier on until the summer. He took to social media to post the following message:

Perhaps some players might have bandaged a fractured arm and soldiered on during Roberts’ days but those days are long gone. Besides, opposition players will target his arm if they knew he was playing with a fracture. Unfortunately, we have no choice but to allow Son the time to recover fully.
