Tottenham Hotspur were linked with a number of big players over the summer, but unfortunately they remained signingless.
One man who the Daily Mail linked with Pochettino’s Spurs was Youri Tielemans.
The Belgian has been extremely highly regarded for a number of years now, and could be the perfect replacement for his international teammate Mousa Dembele.
Dembele’s contract expires in the summer, and he is likely to leave on a free with no new deal in sight.
Tielemans is currently playing for the French side Monaco and is still just 21 years old, although it feels as if he has been around for years and years.
He already has 14 caps for his country, and in the 2016/17 season he managed a whopping 18 goals from centre mid, something Dembele never managed to add to his game.
The Daily Star are now reporting that Monaco are willing to cash in and accept £25m for the player, which could prove to be an absolute steal.
