Tottenham’s Luka Vuskovic has reflected on his Hamburg debut against Bayern Munich as he and his teammates came under a baptism of fire at the Allianz Arena.
Vuskovic joined Hamburg on a season-long loan deal towards the end of the summer transfer window, and he could not have had a tougher initiation to German football.
There is plenty of excitement at Spurs about Vuskovic, but it was clear to see in Bavaria that the teenager has a long way to go.

However, in defence of Hamburg, they are not the only side that will be decimated by Bayern this season, with Vincent Kompany’s men looking like one of the favourites for the Champions League.
Vuskovic admitted that coming up against the Tottenham legend was not easy, but the 18-year-old insisted that he is happy with how he dealt with the challenge.
Reflecting on his Hamburg debut, the Croat told Kicker: “It was a tough task against Harry Kane, one of the best strikers in the world, but I’m not happy with how I handled it.”

Despite the chastening start to life in the Bundesliga, it appears that the Tottenham youngster is making a good impression at the north German club.
Kicker spoke to Vuskovic’s Hamburg teammates, who admitted that they like what they have seen of the centre-back so far.
Goalkeeper Daniel Heuer Fernandes said about the 18-year-old: “Luka has been very present from day one and is a player who will help us progress.
Midfielder Nicolai Remberg added about the Spurs loanee: “He brings a lot of the qualities we need. Maybe he’s still lacking a few routines, but I would never say the task was too difficult for him at the start. He will really help us.”
