14-year-old striker Iacovos Chrysanthou set for trial at Tottenham

According to a report in FotbollDirekt, IF Brommapojkarna starlet Iacovos Chrysanthou will arrive at Hotspur Way in November.

The 14-year-old striker is set to undergo a week-long trial at the North London club after making waves in youth football back in the Scandinavian country.

Chrysanthou is considered a standout talent among his age group, with the outlet describing him as ‘a natural goalscorer with strong technique and confidence’.

His arrival has been confirmed by a source close to the situation, who allegedly told the publication: “It’s true. It’s all set, and it will take place in November.”

What Spurs like about Iacovos Chrysanthou

FotbollDirekt say that the forward first caught Spurs’ eye in the Madrid Cup last year, a tournament which included many elite academies across the world such as Real Madrid, PSG, Barcelona and Chelsea.

Iacovos Chrysanthou scored seven goals in the competition, and Tottenham Hotspur were impressed with his dribbling, awareness and precise left foot.

During his stay in North London, the youngster may get a chance to rub shoulders with two players he has looked up to, with Bergvall and Dejan Kulusevski also having come through the ranks of the Brommapojkarna academy.
