Tottenham Hotspur will be on the lookout for some new players this summer after going well over a year without signing a single new face.
In fact, the last player to sign for the North London club was Lucas Moura way back in January 2018 from PSG.
Since then, despite not bringing anyone in, Tottenham fans did wave goodbye to favourite Mousa Dembele as he jetted off for China.
Spurs will, therefore, be forced into strengthening their midfield in the next transfer window, and they may look towards London rivals Chelsea for the player.
Mateo Kovacic is currently playing in Blue, although he will be back at his parent club Real Madrid at the end of the season.
Chelsea have the player on loan, but will be unable to follow through with a permanent deal as they are banned for the next two transfer windows.
Spurs may, therefore, sneak in and steal the promising young midfield enforcer (HITC).
A report from Marca also claims that Kovacic wants to stay in the Premier League.
