Tottenham lurking as West Ham attempt to tie star down to new deal

Tottenham Hotspur are in the market for some new players after missing out on signing anyone in the summer.

Spurs and Pochettino are always on the lookout for young English talent to bring through the ranks at Spurs.

Harry Kane and Harry Winks both came through the academy, while Eric Dier, Dele Alli and Danny Rose were all purchased as youngsters and developed at Tottenham.

Now, according to talkSPORT Spurs could have their eyes firmly set on their next young star, as West Ham’s Declan Rice has impressed during his two season at the top.

After breaking through in the 2016/17 season, Rice has gone on to make 35 appearances for the club.

However, Rice reportedly turned down the club’s first offer of a new contract, with his current deal running out next season.

A new offer has been tabled, but it remains to be seen if Rice will take it.

The Daily Mail report Spurs and Chelsea are waiting to pounce if not.
