The Lewis Family have now made their stance on under-fire Thomas Frank clear, following internal board meetings at Tottenham Hotspur.
After a few weeks that felt like progress at Tottenham Hotspur after back-to-back wins in all competitions, Spurs took a sizeable step backwards at the City Ground as they slumped to a 3-0 defeat against Nottingham Forest.
The Tricky Trees were dominant throughout and looked sharper in every department, with individual errors and a lack of creativity ultimately proving costly for the north London club on Sunday.
That loss marked Spurs’ sixth defeat of the season, leaving them on 22 points from their opening 16 matches, their lowest return at this stage of a campaign since Juande Ramos’ spell during the 2008-09 season.

Thomas Frank backed by Tottenham hierarchy after internal talks
Things need to change in north London, and Thomas Frank is feeling the pressure with every dropped point and defeat as the league table begins to tighten.
With pressure mounting, The Athletic have now shed light on how the Tottenham hierarchy views the situation following Frank’s inconsistent run in the Premier League.
It is understood that discussions have taken place regarding Frank’s future, with meetings held at board level, although these are described as routine reviews that clubs regularly conduct about staffing and long-term direction, rather than knee-jerk reactions to recent results.
Following those conversations, the clear position of the Lewis family is reportedly to stick with Frank and give him the time he needs to steady the side and push his ideas through.
Spurs face defining fixtures as pressure builds on Thomas Frank
It will not get any easier for the Tottenham head coach, with a resurgent Liverpool side up next in the Premier League, a fixture that rarely offers any breathing room.
Crystal Palace, who are pushing towards the Champions League places, follow soon after, making for a potentially unforgiving run of games for Spurs at a delicate point in the season.
Defeats in those two matches could realistically see the Lilywhites dragged into the relegation conversation, with just six points separating them from 17th place.
A finish in that position last season saw Daniel Levy pull the trigger on Ange Postecoglou after a similarly poor return, and if Frank reaches the midway point of the campaign in 17th place, it will leave the Lewis family facing a serious decision.
