Tottenham make iconic addition to new stadium

Tottenham Hotspur haven’t had much to shout about so far with regards to the new stadium.

Any good news has been largely overshadowed by the fact it will no longer be ready for use until some time in 2019.

The stadium was originally supposed to open by September 15, but issues with the fire safety system put a stop to this.

However, Spurs fans must remember that in only a few months time (fingers crossed) they will have a state-of-the-art brand-new 62,000 seat stadium.

The ground will be a home for generation of Spurs fans for over a century to come, and hopefully it will breed success and trophies for the Lilywhites.

So far, the pitch has been laid, the markings are done, goal posts are erected, and now Tottenham have made perhaps their most iconic addition.

This morning the brand new golden cockerel, an iconic symbol of Tottenham Hotspur, arrived at the new stadium.

It was then lifted via crane to be attached to the roof of the new ground for all to see.
