Tottenham make interesting Champions League hint in new kit launch video

Some Tottenham fans on social media have spotted that the club’s new kit launch video features a Spurs fan reading a travel guide about Istanbul – the city where the 2023 Champions League final is set to be held.

Tottenham are back in the Champions League next season after a two-year absence from the competition and will be hoping to give a decent account of themselves in Europe’s most prestigious club tournament.

The Lilywhites are expected to be placed in Pot 2 for the Group Stage draw and would be hoping for a favourable draw (ESPN’s Dale Johnson).

Spurs fell one step short of winning the tournament back in 2019 as they were beaten in the final at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium in Madrid by Liverpool.

If Tottenham’s kit launch video is anything to go by, it appears like the club fancy their chances of making another run to the final, with the video featuring a scene where a Spurs fan is seen reading a travel guide about Istanbul.

Some Spurs fans on social media spotted the scene and were quick to link it to the Champions League final, which will be held in Ataturk Olympic Stadium in Turkey’s financial capital.

Spurs Web Opinion

I think the video intended to highlight the fact that fans can look forward to trips around Europe now that we are back in the Champions League, rather than to suggest that we are going all the way to the final in Istanbul.
