Tottenham man breaks international milestone for North Londoners

Harry Kane, who seems to be reaching a new milestone every week has now broken another record by earning the most caps for England while playing for Tottenham, as confirmed by the club’s official website.

The striker won his 50th cap for the Three Lions in their Nations League clash against Belgium on Sunday, which took him ahead of Jermaine Defoe, who won 49 of his 57 caps during his two spells at North London.

Kane has found the back of the net 32 times for England in his 50 outings and given that he is still only 27 years of age, few would be willing to bet against him winning a 100 caps or breaking Wayne Rooney’s all-time goal record of 53.

Meanwhile, Eric Dier won his 44th cap for the country, all of which have come during his time at Spurs.

That draws him level with Glenn Hoddle as the joint third most capped Tottenham player for England.

Dele Alli is currently ninth on the list with 37 but at the moment, his struggles at club level are hampering his hopes of another call-up.
