Tottenham offer three-year contract to starlet

Tottenham have apparently tabled a 3-year contract for highly-rated Norway teenager Isak Midttun Solberg, according to Football London.

The player’s father claims that the 15-year-old has been offered a deal by the North London outfit, after he came over to Spurs this summer for a trial.

The Norway U15 international already stands at a whopping 6ft2.

His father claims that Spurs were impressed with the young keeper after he trained in the academy within the U18 and U16 teams.

If the teenager chooses to sign, he would join the Tottenham academy for 2 years before having the option to sign a professional deal.

Tottenham currently have the likes of Hugo Lloris, Michel Vorm, Paulo Gazzaniga and Alfie Whiteman on their books, but within a few years, who knows if Solberg could be a challenger the number one position.

It’s quite rare for a keeper to break his way into the first team at a big Premier League club, but the teenager is surely worth the gamble for next to nothing in a financial sense.

Solberg’s father told Stavanger Aftenblad: “I can confirm that Isak has been offered a three-year contract starting next summer. We’ll go back again in the autumn holiday. A decision about the offer will be taken in the new year.”
