According to Dario Gol, Real Madrid are said to be desperate to sell Gareth Bale, despite losing Ronaldo to Juventus in the summer.
Bale has failed to score in his last seven La Liga matches, and has always seemed to fail in becoming a fan favourite in Madrid.
However, the Welshman is still very much in the minds of Tottenham fans, who will always have positive memories of the left-back-come-winger’s time at White Hart Lane.
Bale made the transition from bad-luck charm at left back, to world beater at left wing during his time at Spurs, and fans would surely welcome a return.
Spurs sold Bale to Madrid for around £86m, and Real would surely look to recoup as much as possible.
However you can be sure that Daniel Levy would only look at a deal if it were deemed a bargain for his club.
Bale is now 29-years-old and probably only has one big move left in him.
The Spanish news outlet claim Madrid have offered Spurs a chance to re-sign him in January.
It could be now or never for a fairytale return, however his wage demands could prove to be a stumbling block.
