Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly been offered a chance to sign an experienced La Liga star, but they may face competition from their Premier League rivals for his signature.
Spurs have had no shortage of problems this season, with some of Thomas Frank’s selection decisions being questioned by supporters, particularly when it comes to the midfield.
A few weeks ago, many Tottenham fans also called on Frank to drop Guglielmo Vicario, who has made a few unforced errors this season.
In fact, there were even some reports that Spurs were looking at potential number ones ahead of the January transfer window, and they have just reportedly been offered the chance to sign a highly decorated goalkeeper.

Marc-Andre ter Stegen has been offered to Tottenham
Earlier this month, reports from Spain suggested that Tottenham had held talks over a move for Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen, who is currently out with an injury.
Now, journalist Graeme Bailey has revealed that the German shot-stopper has been offered to Spurs and other English sides, suggesting that the Premier League might well be the 33-year-old’s next destination.
Speaking about Ter Stegen, Bailey told TBR Football: “Intermediaries have been given the green light to look at prospective moves around Europe, and the Premier League is a destination he would seriously consider.
“I am told at this point he is being offered on an initial loan; clearly, Barcelona realise that is a good way to earn a permanent deal. Chelsea are a fascinating one. We know they are looking to land Mike Maignan on a Bosman, but could they bring in Ter Stegen for six months? Why not? United, Spurs, Newcastle, and West Ham have been made aware too.
“Ter Stegen is world-class, and if there is a chance to bolster your ranks with a player of this calibre for the second half of the season, I think he is a fascinating option for a number of sides in January.”
Vicario has shown that he is an elite goalkeeper
Vicario has undoubtedly silenced his critics with his brilliant performances of late, with the Italian showing that he is an elite shot-stopper.
The Tottenham number one delivered a Man of the Match performance against Monaco, and Spurs would have likely lost heavily if not for his heroics.
Additionally, considering that Vicario has been named in Tottenham’s new leadership group, we can say with relative confidence that the Italian is extremely unlikely to be replaced in January.
