Tottenham officially confirm that player has left the club

Tottenham Hotspur have finally confirmed that Christian Eriksen has completed his move from North London to Inter Milan this transfer window.

This follows a long-running transfer saga linking the Great Dane to the Italian club as he entered the final six months of his contract.

The January transfer window represented Tottenham’s last chance to get some money for the playmaker before he was able to leave on a free in the summer.

This comes after Eriksen featured across seven seasons for Spurs, joining from Ajax way back in 2013. He was a key part of the core team that made it to the Champions League Final last season.

During his time at Spurs, Eriksen managed 305 games, putting him just behind club legend Ledley King in that respect, and scoring 69 goals.

The Daily Mail reported that Eriksen landed in Italy for his medical on Monday ahead of the £17.5m move.

Spurs Web Opinion:

Nothing but respect for the Great Dane and everything he did at Spurs. I hope that our paths cross again and that he can find the glory he seeks in Italy. I also hope that he can watch fondly as Spurs hopefully find glory of their own in the coming years.
