Tottenham officially confirm their second signing of the transfer window

Tottenham Hotspur have made their second signing of the January transfer window as the club has today confirmed the arrival of Radu Dragusin from Genoa.

Spurs have been looking to add a new centre-half to their ranks in the January transfer window as a priority, and have acted fast to get their man in early this month.

For the past few weeks, Radu Dragusin has emerged as the main target for Spurs, especially given the difficulty in trying to strike a deal with Nice for French international Jean-Clair Todibo.

Dragusin had seemingly been a far simpler proposition, with Fabrizio Romano reporting that Spurs had agreed personal terms with the player early and were just waiting on talks with Genoa to agree on a transfer fee.

On Tuesday, Romano suggested that agreement would be in place ‘very soon’ and that turned out to be correct.

Radu Dragusin is officially a Spurs player

Now, we can finally get excited about Dragusin, as we have seen him smiling for photos in a Tottenham Hotspur shirt. The club has today confirmed the 21-year-old is now a Spurs player, joining Ange Postecoglou‘s side on a contract that lasts until 2030.

It’s always wise not to get too excited until we see the player wearing a Tottenham shirt, but it felt like this deal was always going to happen once we heard Dragusin had agreed personal terms. This signing means we have finally got really solid depth in the centre of defence.
