According to TEAMtalk, Tottenham were one of several Premier League clubs who made contact over a deal for Mateus Mane following Wolves’ relegation.
The report says that the winger was not pushing for a move away from Molineux, but would have been open to leaving if Wolves sanctioned a transfer.
However, his club refused to consider offers for the player, believing that staying in the Midlands and getting regular senior experience would be the best step for his development.
Spurs Web relayed earlier in the year that Tottenham are in a seven-horse race for Mateus Mane, and he could end up costing as much as £50m.
