Tottenham outcast is now in the club’s plans says Pochettino

Tottenham Hotspur outcast Georges-Kevin Nkoudou may have played his way back into contention this week, with Pochettino saying the winger is in his plans.

Nkoudou has rarely featured for Tottenham over the last two seasons, bar the occasional appearance on the bench, or in the minor cup competitions.

However, in the face of a nasty injury to Dele Alli in the 86th minute against Fulham on Sunday, Pochettino turned to the figure of GK for help.

Spurs were struggling at 1-1 at the time, looking as if they were about to succumb to their very first Premier League draw of the season.

However, in the final seconds, Nkoudou picked the ball up on the left wing, cut inside, and delivered a pin point cross to Harry Winks who nodded it home for the winner.

Pochettino now says that GK was never out of his plans like Vincent Janssen, stating the French winger is in his and Tottenham’s plans.

Poch said (Football London): “I think that’s completely different. Never was GK Nkoudou in a similar situation as Vincent. If GK was in the squad or involved, like at Fulham, it’s because he is in our plans, in Tottenham’s plans.”
