Wayne Rooney has given his thoughts on Tottenham’s decision to hire Igor Tudor as they look to secure their Premier League status next season.
Spurs are now staring at the very real possibility of relegation for the first time in nearly half a century.
They sit just four points clear of West Ham in 18th, and the worrying thing for the Lilywhites has been that the Hammers are finding ways to get points on the board over recent weeks.

Teddy Sheringham has said that he is flabbergasted by Spurs’ decision to appoint Tudor, predicting that the 47-year-old will get some reality checks in the Premier League.
Rooney has now admitted he was surprised by the call and questioned why the Lilywhites did not turn to club legend Robbie Keane.
Speaking on The Wayne Rooney Show on BBC, the former Man United striker said: “I think he [Tudor] has done it over in Italy, where he’s gone in to save teams from getting relegated, but the Premier League is completely different. So surprised [about the appointment].
“But who else is out there? Robbie Keane. He keeps getting overlooked for some reason. He’s done a fantastic job in the places he’s been. I think you’re looking, and he gets overlooked by Celtic all the time, and this time by Tottenham when potentially, it could have been a good fit.”
Tudor bullish about Spurs’ survival chances
Ahead of the North London derby, Tudor boldly stated that he is confident Tottenham will not be relegated this season.
When asked about it again, the Spurs interim coach clarified that he prefers not to think about outcomes in the league table and focus on the team’s performances.
However, the 47-year-old may be slightly more worried after seeing his side deliver a meek performance against Arsenal, with Tudor admitting he was angered by his side’s display in the derby.
