Tottenham Hotspur‘s impressive start to the Premier League campaign has seen both Eric Dier and Nuno Espirito Santo nominated for top-flight awards for the month of August.
Dier formed an impressive defence partnership with Davinson Sanchez and has been instrumental in helping the North Londoners to keep clean sheets in each of their three league outings so far and is up for the Player of the Month award.
The 27-year-old finds himself up against Marcos Alonso, Michail Antonio, Said Benrahma, Demarai Gray, and Mason Greenwood.
Nuno has seen his side top the Premier League table heading into the international break and has competition from Thomas Tuchel, Rafa Benitez, and David Moyes becoming the first Manager of the Month for the new season.

Both nominations are deserved, in my opinion. Nuno has guided Spurs to the perfect start and he should win the award, given his side are top of the table.
Dier will not win the award but hopefully being shortlisted will give him the confidence he needs to keep this momentum of good performances rolling, Davinson Sanchez can arguably consider himself unlucky not to have been nominated ahead of the England international.
