Tottenham place senior figure on gardening leave after Donna Cullen exit

Tottenham Hotspur have placed one of their key figures on gardening leave amidst ‘sweeping changes’ at the North London club this summer.

Tottenham Hotspur have been busy making in-house changes to the club’s structure in the off-season. To many fans, this will not come as a surprise, with reports stating that wholesale changes were expected at Spurs this summer.

Tottenham have already confirmed the departure of head coach Ange Postecoglou, who was sacked after two years in charge, with his poor league performances sealing his fate, despite ending the club’s long trophy drought.

Assistant head coach Ryan Mason has departed Hotspur Way to take on a new challenge as manager of West Bromwich Albion, while executive Donna-Maria Cullen has stepped down from the Spurs board after two decades of service.

Tottenham Hotspur place Scott Munn on gardening leave

Alasdair Gold reveals that Tottenham Hotspur have now placed another top brass executive on gardening leave, with chief football officer Scott Munn set to depart the north London club after two years of service.

While no official announcement has been made by Tottenham, it appears Munn’s role at the club has become redundant as changes continue to take place at the top.

The departure of Scott Munn does not come as a surprise, as Spurs already appointed Vinai Venkatesham as the club’s new chief executive officer back in April, with reports stating that Munn would depart following his appointment.

Spurs expected to name new director as overhaul continues

With in-house changes still taking place, it is expected that the club could announce the appointment of Fabio Paratici as a new sporting director in the coming weeks and months.

On the pitch, there will be drastic changes for Tottenham Hotspur too as Thomas Frank attempts to rebuild the Spurs squad in his image.

The changes to management and hierarchy may have resulted in a slow start to the transfer window for Spurs. However, it could be exciting times ahead for Tottenham fans if the club gets everything right. Only time will tell if that is the case.
