Tottenham player earns first start since 2017

Tottenham Hotspur’s Premier League saviour against Fulham appears to be dragging himself back into the immediate plans of Mauricio Pochettino.

For two season, French winger Georges-Kevin Nkoudou rarely featured for Tottenham at all, yet alone starting matches.

He would feature sporadically on the bench in the Premier League, more than often as an unused sub, with fans only ever seeing him play in the odd minor cup run out.

Nkoudou came off the bench in the last Prem match against Fulham last Sunday, and even that was only down to a late Dele Alli injury.

However, in just eight minutes, Nkoudou managed to leave his mark on the match, delivering an inch-perfect last minute cross for Harry Winks to nod home the winner.

Today, in the FA Cup against Crystal Palace, Nkoudou earns his first start since 2017!

The last time the Frenchman started a game was the dead rubber match between Spurs and Apoel Nicosia at Wembley in December 2017.

Spurs had already qualified top of their group, meaning it was a nothing fixture, however GK did score via a hefty deflection.
