Tottenham player is second fastest in the Premier League, but it isn’t Micky van de Ven

Micky van de Ven does not make it into the fastest 10 players in the Premier League this season, but another Tottenham man does.

In his first season in the Premier League, Van de Ven broke the record for the fastest player ever recorded, which was previously held by Kyle Walker.

Van de Ven was again the fastest record Premier League player last term, edging out Man City’s Matheus Nunes.

However, so far this campaign, the Dutchman has not featured in the top 10 speeds recorded.

Tottenham defender has the second-highest top speed in the Premier League

The Daily Mail have now revealed the data on the players with the highest top speed recorded across the first half of the 2025-26 season.

The man who tops the list is Wolves full-back Jackson Tchatchoua, who has been clocked in at 23.2mph this season.

Interestingly, the man who has clocked the second-highest top speed is Destiny Udogie, who has been recorded at 22.6mph.

The Italian has managed this despite having an injury-hit campaign and having started just six Premier League games under Thomas Frank.
