On-loan Tottenham defender Cameron Carter-Vickers has been named in the Scottish Premiership Team of the Season.
Carter-Vickers has hardly put a foot wrong since moving to Parkhead on loan last summer, with the centre-back’s solid displays being a key reason behind Celtic’s impressive defensive record.
Celtic have the option of signing the Spurs academy graduate permanently for £6m and reports indicate they are working to seal the deal ahead of the summer transfer window (The Daily Record).
Celtic boss Ange Posteocoglou not only showered praise on Carter-Vickers’ ability but has also spoken in glowing terms about the centre-back’s professionalism and willingness to learn (The Scotsman).
The 24-year-old has certainly not done any harm to his chances of making it back into the USA squad for the World Cup in Qatar.
Cater-Vickers’ impressive displays have now been recognised by PFA Scotland, who named the on-loan Spurs man along with four of his Celtic teammates in the Team of the Year.

Spurs Web Opinion
Carter-Vickers certainly deserves a lot of credit for the level he has maintained throughout this campaign. However, the Scottish league is not much better than League One standard.
Having said that, the 24-year-old might be looking for some continuity in his career and so I will not be surprised if he is keen to complete a permanent move to Celtic Park this summer.
