The full-time whistle has sounded at Anfield for Liverpool vs Tottenham in the Carabao Cup semi-final, which means it’s time for our player ratings.
Over the duration of the ninety minutes, we analysed each player’s individual performance, rating them on a scale of 1-10. Let’s take a look at our Liverpool vs Tottenham player ratings.

Tottenham player ratings vs Liverpool
Antonin Kinsky: Antonin made some important saves in the first half, most notably tipping a Salah shot onto the crossbar, but it was a nightmarish start to the second half; Kinsky rushed out to contest Nunez for a loose ball but was second-best and gave away a penalty which Salah dispatched. He then went on to concede two more in front of the Kop End. Not great viewing, to be honest. 3.5.
Archie Gray: Gray looked out of his depth at Anfield tonight, but he wasn’t anywhere near being the worst player on the pitch. He sets a great example for the senior players, which says it all. 4.
Kevin Danso: Danso was one of two debutants tonight, and his display this evening was one of the few positives that Spurs fans can take away from tonight’s match. Despite being a part of a defence that conceded four, some of his blocks and tackles prevented it from being a cricket score. 5.
Ben Davies: Davies is usually so reliable out there but he was immensely poor tonight. Really disappointing. 2.5.
Djed Spence: Spence wasn’t too prominent in the first half off of the left, but he switched flanks in the second half and proved to be a decent outlet for Spurs, not hesitating to shoot and courageously driving at Liverpool’s defence. Most of his surges forward were futile, but he continues to be a shining light in dark times at Tottenham. 5.
Rodrigo Bentancur: Bentancur was slow, on and off the ball, as he was caught in possession several times and overrun in the midfield too easily. 2.
Yves Bissouma: Bissouma was substituted after what can only be described as a disgraceful performance. In the biggest game of the season so far, he showed a complete lack of composure and desire to even be there, which is just a glimpse of the rotten mentality inside a lot of Spurs’ senior players on the biggest stage. 1.5.
Pape Sarr: Sarr was substituted before the hour mark and deservedly so, as he was all at sea prior to his departure. He was slow, unable to trap the ball, and similar to the rest of Spurs’ midfield, struggled to string passes together. 2.
Dejan Kulusevski: Dejan was pretty pathetic tonight, and created next to nothing. He’s clearly knackered, and Spurs can’t continue to rely on him to get them out of trouble. 2.
Richarlison: Richy was non-existent after an early scuffle with Van Dijk, and he only really slowed down counterattacks when he had the ball. He was eventually subbed with an injury. 2.5.
Heung-min Son: It was a disgraceful performance from Tottenham’s captain, as he showed less leadership than some of the teenagers on the pitch tonight. He hit the crossbar at 3-0 down but most of the time, he wasted opportunities or made the wrong decision. 1.5.

Substitutes:
Mathys Tel: Spurs’ deadline day signing Tel replaced Richarlison minutes before half-time. He struggled to get into the game and often had to drop deep to get the ball. He often demanded the ball but was rarely found by his teammates, particularly when he was Spurs’ most advanced forward. 4.
Pedro Porro: Porro came on and livened things up, as his deep passes and attacking intent provided a bit more of a threat going forward. It obviously came to nothing though. 4.
Lucas Bergvall: Bergvall showed the most desire out of any Spurs midfielder tonight, but it was too little too late from the young Swede. 4.5.
