The referee has blown the full-time whistle at the Molineux Stadium, meaning it’s time for our Tottenham vs Wolverhampton Wanderers Premier League player ratings.
It was yet another disappointing outing for Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League, as the Lilywhites suffered their 17th defeat of the league season in the hands of Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Over the course of the last ninety minutes, we examined each player’s individual performance, rating them on a scale of 1-10. Let’s take a look at how they got on.

Tottenham’s player ratings vs Wolves
Guglielmo Vicario: It was more of the same from Vicario in the second half, as he didn’t look any more confident with the ball at his feet, nor when dealing with set-pieces. 2.
Ben Davies: It was a lot worse defensively from Tottenham after the break. Davies had a few edgy moments early in the second forty-five minutes, including a couple of misplaced passes. However, he was involved in Spurs’ second goal – his header across the face of goal found Romero, who drew a save from Sa that led to Richarlison’s goal. 3.
Cristian Romero: An awful error from Romero led to Wolves’ third of the game. A serious lapse in concentration when dealing with a ball down his channel. Very disappointing to see. 3.
Archie Gray: Wolves’ third goal came down Gray’s side, and the full-back was nowhere to be seen. He also offered little going forward for Tottenham in the second half. 3.
Djed Spence: Compared to his full-back counterpart, Spence did hold his own on his wing and was solid defensively – aside from his first-half own goal, of course. On the offensive side, though, he again didn’t have much of an impact. 4.
Yves Bissouma: Bissouma was taken off early in the second half for Rodrigo Bentancur. But before that, he was part of a midfield that was thoroughly outplayed. 4.
Pape Matar Sarr: A disappointing showing from Sarr, as he was anonymous for most of the game. No surprise to see him taken off early in the second half for Bentancur. 2.
James Maddison: Maddison had his moments, but had little effect on the game overall. He often gave the ball away and was bullied off it far too easily. No improvement from his first-half performance. 3.
Brennan Johnson: Johnson again didn’t offer much protection to Gray, whose wing was being repeatedly targeted by Wolves. That said, he did register an assist with a well-placed pass to find Tel at the back post. 4.
Dominic Solanke: Solanke was non-existent in the second half. His goal drought continues as he made way for Richarlison in the 73rd minute. 4.
Mathys Tel: Tel was the brightest spark in that Tottenham front three and definitely deserved his goal for the desire he showed throughout the game. 7.
Substitutes:
Lucas Bergvall: Bergvall brought the running and energy that was lacking when Pape Matar Sarr was on the pitch. It was that very drive that led to Brennan Johnson’s assist for Mathys Tel’s goal. He did have a lapse in concentration as he was robbed by Cunha for Wolves’ fourth of the game. 3.
Richarlison: Ange Postecoglou continued to ease Richarlison into things after his lengthy spell on the sidelines. He got a solid 15+ minutes into his legs and marked it with a goal after Romero’s header was parried into his part. 7.
Rodrigo Bentancur: Bentancur replaced Bissouma in the second-half, and had minimal impact as Wolves continued to run through Tottenham, creating chances at ease. 5.
Dejan Kulusevski: Postecoglou had stated that Kulusevski was unlikely to feature against Wolves, with a return for the Swede most likely to come in the midweek clash in the Europa League. However, Tottenham fans were treated to a lovely surprise, as the midfielder was introduced in the 73rd minute. N/A
