Tottenham player’s agent reveals he won’t be leaving this summer

Roberto De Fanti, Japhet Tanganga’s agent, has now revealed the defender will not be leaving Tottenham on loan before the end of the transfer window.

De Fanti admitted in an interview with Sky Sports that, at the beginning of the window, the club and player both believed a loan move would be best in order to provide consistent game time.

The agent also confirmed that Galatasaray did indeed come in with a loan offer and while Tottenham did not push him into accepting, they thought a move for regular game time would be best.

After Tanganga started the final pre-season friendly against Arsenal and played well, Tottenham reportedly fell silent on an exit and that silence was maintained after the man of the match display against Man City on opening day.

De Fanti then called up Fabio Paratici to see what was happening and the managing director of football revealed Tanganga would be staying.

Spurs Web Opinion:

What a unique and refreshing interview that was. It’s nice to hear what goes on behind the scenes and at least Spurs were most concerned with Tanganga’s game time. I do wonder whether a new right-back is now off the cards then.
