A new report has shed light on what the Tottenham players thought of Thomas Frank’s personality in comparison to his predecessor, Ange Postecoglou.
Frank has now been put out of his misery by the Spurs hierarchy after an extremely testing eight-month spell in charge for the Dane.
The response from Tottenham fans to Frank’s sacking has been universally positive. In fact, if anything, most appear to think it should have been done earlier.
There was certainly a feeling based on social media that the Spurs supporters did not take to the Dane and his personality at all, and it turns out, it was a similar case internally at Hotspur Way as well.

Thomas Frank was seen as lacking the charisma for the Tottenham job
The Athletic have revealed that Frank was popular with the staff and was always keen to know everyone’s name.
However, there was a perception at the club that the Dane may be ‘too nice’ and that he lacked the ego or the charisma required to manage a club of Tottenham’s size.
The report claims that one Spurs player believes that while Postecoglou may not have been the best coach, the players respected him and admired his charisma.
The player in question added that while the squad had always listened to the Australian, they stopped listening to Frank as he did not have the personality required to coach a big team.
Frank could not get the Spurs players to work hard for him
The Athletic reveal that another long-standing training ground source stated that the players were prepared to run through a brick wall for Ange Postecoglou.
However, Frank never inspired the same respect, and the players never trained with the same intensity under the 52-year-old as they felt they could get away with less.
The outlet asserts that the former Brentford boss faced serious issues in terms of player behaviour and dynamics, which he was unable to solve.
