A direct transfer from one side of North London to the other is extremely rare, with the bitter Tottenham/Arsenal rivalry leaving that door almost completely shut.
However, back in 2001, Tottenham centre-back Sol Campbell managed to barge his way through this door, swapping the Lilywhite of Spurs for the red of the Gunners.
Tottenham fans never forgot Campbell’s betrayal, and he continues to be referred to as ‘Judas’ to this day.
It appears that moving from one rival to the other isn’t worth the lifetime of abuse and aggravation, however that might not stop Spurs plotting a sensational swoop for Arsenal star Aaron Ramsey.
The Wales star is out of contract at the end of the season, and is likely to leave on a free.
A report by TeamTalk claims Spurs have joined the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool and AC Milan in the battle for his signature.
Ramsey would follow in the footsteps of Emmanuel Adebayor and William Gallas who both played for Arsenal and then Spurs in recent years.
Ramsey is believed to prefer a Liverpool move, but don’t rule anything out.
