Tottenham announce latest plans for their preparations ahead of 2024/25 campaign

Tottenham Hotspur have announced that they will be flying to Japan for pre-season this summer, the first time that the club will be visiting the Asian country in over three decades.

Tottenham travelled to the Asia Pacific for their pre-season tour last summer, playing friendlies in Australia, Thailand and Singapore before flying back to London for their first campaign under Ange Postecoglou.

The club had also jetted to South Korea in 2022 and they have now confirmed that they will be going back to Asia for the third year in a row, this time to Japan.

Tottenham head to Japan for pre-season friendly

The Lilywhites will be making a trip to the country for the first time in a whopping 33 years and they announced that they will be playing a friendly against J1 League champions Vissel Kobe.

The clash will be held at the Japan National Stadium in Tokyo on Saturday 27 July as Ange Postecoglou‘s men prepare for the new campaign.

It will be familiar territory for the Tottenham head coach, who spent three years in the J League with Yokohama Marinos before moving to Celtic in 2021.

I would not be surprised if Tottenham also add a US leg of the pre-season tour, with Asia and America evidently being the two markets that most Premier League clubs are focussed on over recent years.
