Tottenham Hotspur head into a huge clash with Chelsea on Tuesday night knowing their Premier League survival hopes could hinge on what happens at Stamford Bridge, and Roberto De Zerbi now faces some major selection calls ahead of the trip across London.

The clash between Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night is set to be a pivotal one for Spurs.

The Lilywhites know they must simply avoid defeat if they are to keep their survival fate in their own hands heading into the final day of the season.

However, a loss and a West Ham win would be a disaster for Spurs, who would drop into the relegation zone with one game to spare.

Tottenham predicted XI vs Chelsea as Roberto De Zerbi faces key calls

Goalkeeper – Antonin Kinsky: The Czech international was the reason Tottenham walked away with a point against Leeds United, thanks to two crucial saves. After such a stellar performance, we expect him to keep his starting spot.

Right-back – Pedro Porro: Tottenham do not have many options to cover for Porro at right-back, and we can see the Spaniard keeping his spot once again.

Centre-back – Kevin Danso: The Austrian is aggressive in his duels and is adapting well to De Zerbi’s methods, while he also remains an asset from set-pieces with his long throws. In a game where the margins could be small, we expect him to start.

Centre-back – Micky van de Ven: With Cristian Romero out, the Dutchman has been captaining Spurs and De Zerbi will be hoping he can coordinate things at the back against Chelsea.

Left-back – Destiny Udogie: The Italian does have competition from Djed Spence, but it is clear he is above him in the pecking order. Since De Zerbi took charge, Udogie has been superb, and we expect him to keep his starting spot once more.

Pivot midfielder – Joao Palhinha: Spurs will need to win their duels in the middle of the park against a technical Chelsea midfield, and that is why it makes sense to have Palhinha in the centre of midfield.

Pivot midfielder – Rodrigo Bentancur: The Uruguayan has been going from strength to strength in recent matches under De Zerbi, and we can see the Spurs boss relying on his composure in the centre of the pitch at Stamford Bridge.

Centre-midfielder – Conor Gallagher: It will be a return to the Bridge for Conor Gallagher, and De Zerbi will be hoping the Englishman is up for this encounter. Tottenham will have to pressure a Chelsea defence that is prone to errors, and having Gallagher lead the press will be key to that.

Right winger – Randal Kolo Muani: Ideally, we would prefer De Zerbi to name James Maddison from the start ahead of Muani against Chelsea, but that might not be how the Italian sets up, especially with Maddison still building match fitness.

Centre-forward – Richarlison: It remains to be seen if Dominic Solanke will be fit for this game on Tuesday. If he is not available, then Richarlison will likely lead the line, and hopefully, Spurs will play to his strengths by delivering crosses into the box.

Left winger – Mathys Tel: He pretty much undid his good work against Leeds when he gave away that penalty. However, his quality is still there to see, and he remains Tottenham’s most dangerous attacker, so we expect him to start once again.
