Tottenham provide official fixture update for Aston Villa and Fulham games

Tottenham Hotspur have now officially announced that their fixture against Aston Villa in the Premier League, scheduled for Wednesday 13 January, has been postponed.

However, it isn’t all bad news for the Lilywhites, as the previously postponed fixture against Fulham has been rescheduled for the same day.

Tottenham vs Fulham, a home match for Mourinho’s men, will take place on Wednesday night at 20:15 after it was originally postponed back in December. The match will be shown live on Amazon Prime Video.

Spurs revealed that the Premier League had informed them of their decision to postpone the Villa game due to a request from club after a number of first-team players and staff had tested positive for COVID-19.

Aston Villa chose to field a team of youth academy youngsters against Liverpool in the FA Cup on Friday, rather than forfeit their place in the competition.

The club released a statement last week to outline the outbreak of COVID-19, forcing the closure of their training ground.
