Tottenham put in a six million loan bid for Batshuayi

Tottenham Hotspur weren’t mentioned a whole lot on deadline day, and no one really expected there to be any incomings for the North London outfit.

Spurs were already the first Premier League team in history not to sign a single new player in the summer transfer window, and they looked as if they would extend this through January too.

The only transfer activity they did have was the sale of Mousa Dembele to China, as well as loaning out Georges-Kevin Nkoudou to Monaco.

However, there were some late rumours surrounding Spurs as Jim White took his deadline Day seat and Michy Batshuayi became available for loan from Chelsea.

Chelsea had apparently agreed terms with West Ham and Real Betis, charging £2m for the six-month loan period.

However, they were willing to loan to Spurs for the ridiculous fee of £8m (Express).

Batshuayi eventually signed for Crystal Palace, but Belgian outlet DH now claim that Spurs actually offered a desperate 6 million Euros to land the striker (as reported by SportWitness).
