Tottenham receive a boost in their pursuit to catch up with the top four

Tottenham Hotspur made it three wins out of three under Jose Mourinho as they beat Bournemouth 3-2 today in North London.

These vital three points have lifted the Lilywhites into fifth in the Premier League, a huge climb from the 14th position they were in not long ago under Pochettino.

Everything seems to be pointing towards it being a good decision from Levy and the board to mix things up, as heartbreaking as losing Poch was for the club.

Not only did Spurs win three points and see themselves climb the leaderboard today, but two of their top-four rivals also dropped points in the league.

Manchester City drew 2-2 to Newcastle United in the early kick-off, while Chelsea also lost 1-0 to West Ham.

Spurs are now just nine behind City and six behind Chelsea in the table, a whole lot closer than they were a couple of weeks ago.

While Tottenham will unlikely be fifth come the end of the weekend, it marks growth and improvement under Mourinho, as well as a boost in their pursuit of the top four.
