Tottenham receive another injury boost ahead of Burnley game

Harry Kane’s return has dominated the headlines ahead of Tottenham’s trip to Burnley on Saturday. However, he is not the only player to return to first-team training this week.

According to a report in the Evening Standard left back Ben Davies is also back to full fitness and trained with the first-team this week. The Welshman who has been an ever-present in the side for the last couple of seasons due to Danny Rose’s injury troubles, has missed the last five matches with a groin strain.

In the 25-year-old’s absence, Danny Rose has put in some great displays and seems to be getting back to his best. However, Rose still has issues playing more than one game a week which meant that Jan Vertonghen had to play at left wing back during Spurs’ last outing against Borussia Dortmund.

Tottenham are entering a busy period as they play both Chelsea and Arsenal after the game against Burnley, before travelling to Dortmund for the second leg of the Champions League round of 16.

Having the Welshman back is a great bonus for Pochettino who likes to rotate his full backs.
