Tottenham receive approach for want-away striker

According to SkySports, Tottenham have now received an approach from Real Betis regarding the availability of Vincent Janssen.

Janssen has been frozen out of Pochettino’s squad this season, and has yet to make a single appearance across the entire campaign.

The striker recently returned from a nasty foot injury, but has only been granted game time in the under 23 team.

To be fair to the Dutch forward, he has actually been tucking plenty of goals and assists away in these appearances for the youth side.

Spurs are said to value him at around £15m, although they would have little to no time left to reinvest this money in January.

Selling a senior striker may seem strange at the moment, considering an injury to Harry Kane has left Fernando Llorente as the only other out-and-out player in this position.

However, even if a deal with Real Betis is not reached, it seems unlikely that Janssen will be called in from the cold.
