Tottenham Hotspur are set for a timely injury lift ahead of their decisive Europa League second-leg clash against Eintracht Frankfurt, as Ange Postecoglou provides a key update on Dejan Kulusevski and Kevin Danso.
Without a doubt, it could have gone better for Tottenham Hotspur on Thursday in their first-leg tie against Eintracht Frankfurt.
A 1-1 draw, after 56% possession, 10 shots—six of those on target—an xG of 0.94, and two big chances will definitely have left Spurs fans wondering what might have been.
On big European nights, you simply have to take your chances. But it’s not over yet. With a trip to Germany still on the horizon, there’s every reason for Tottenham supporters to remain hopeful.

Tottenham injury boost as Dejan Kulusevski and Kevin Danso near return
Heading into the return leg on Thursday, 17 April, Spurs have now been handed a major injury boost by Ange Postecoglou, who’s offered a fitness update on two of his sidelined stars.
In the first leg, there were two notable absentees from the Tottenham squad—Kevin Danso, nursing a hamstring issue, and Dejan Kulusevski, who has been managing a foot problem. Both have been out for the past four weeks due to their respective injuries.
Speaking after the first-leg draw, Postecoglou shared where things stand with the pair, and whether they’ll be in the frame for the second leg.
He said, as relayed by Tom Barclay on X: “Touch and go. (Deki and Danso) are due to start training with the team probably, if not tomorrow, then early next week. I don’t think they are a possibility to start but Kulusevski has a chance to be involved.”
Spurs could be bolstered with Kulusevski’s return vs Eintracht Frankfurt
This is, without question, a huge boost for Tottenham, who’ll need as many players fit and available as possible, especially with the potential of extra time looming in the second leg.
Destiny Udogie, who looked to have picked up a knock during the first-leg clash before being substituted, has since confirmed he’s fine and fit to play, which only adds to the positive news for Postecoglou.
Lucas Bergvall also managed to avoid a third booking in the first leg tie at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, which means he is eligible to play in the second leg.
There’s no doubt that having Kulusevski, even from the bench, gives Spurs another attacking outlet and a creative option who can unlock defences—something they’ll certainly need if Frankfurt sit deep at home.
