Tottenham Hotspur have just received a major blow in their pursuit of two Bundesliga wingers, as Bayern Munich enter the race.
With Conor Gallagher and Souza expected to arrive at Tottenham soon, one would expect the Lilywhites to turn their attention to a winger next.
It has been reported over recent weeks that Spurs are tracking as many as seven wingers across Europe.
It was explained that Thomas Frank’s men are prepared to be flexible in terms of their preferred target as they are keen to bring a game-changing wide player through the door, but they may now have a new problem.

Bayern Munich want two of Tottenham’s targets
Among those seven names were two 19-year-old Bundesliga wingers, who are quickly developing a reputation as two of the most exciting attackers in the German top-flight.
Those were RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande and FC Koln’s Said El Mala, who have both been tipped to reach the top of the game.
It has now been revealed by Sky Sports reporter Florian Plettenberg that Bayern want a left-winger and are eyeing both teenagers, but the Bavarian side are only expected to make a move in the summer.
Plettenberg wrote on X: “FC Bayern definitely want to sign a new winger in summer, preferably for the left side, and this is independent of the upcoming contract extension of Serge Gnabry. The current focus is on Yan Diomande and Said El Mala, depending on their availability and the price in the summer.”
Spurs have another major problem in Yan Diomande pursuit
Bayern are not the only club that Tottenham have to worry about in their pursuit of the Leipzig star.
It has been reported that Spurs have to see off competition from many of the elite clubs around Europe to land Diomande.
To make matters worse, Diomande has recently named Liverpool as his dream destination, leaving the North Londoners with a mountain to climb to win the race for the Ivorian.
