Tottenham receive hugely positive update in pursuit of Antoine Semenyo deal

Tottenham may be looking to make a statement in the January transfer window, amid reports of continued interest in Antoine Semenyo.

Tottenham Hotspur could very much become active in the January transfer window following the £100 million cash injection from the Lewis Family.

The funds are expected to be used by CEO Vinai Venkatesham and his technical staff to help improve Tottenham’s standing on the pitch, and that could very much include some new signings.

Spurs fans did not hesitate to react to the injection of cash into the club, as many supporters were quick to name Semenyo as the one player they want Tottenham to spend most of the recent cash on.

Tottenham plotting winter move for Bournemouth forward Antoine Semenyo

Antoine Semenyo has long been admired by Tottenham, with interest in the Bournemouth man going back to the summer window.

Spurs opted against a move for the 25-year-old then, due to the Cherries’ £70 million price tag, but they could become very active once more in pursuit of the in-form Premier League star in the winter window, according to Miguel Delaney.

Writing in his Inside Football newsletter for The Independent (10/10/25), he said: “I am told that Tottenham Hotspur have struck ahead of many rivals for Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo, with some sources insistent the deal could happen in January. Bournemouth still want at least £70m.”

Semenyo’s form shows why Spurs remain keen

Semenyo has grabbed an impressive six goals and has managed three assists in the league, with Erling Haaland the only player to have scored more.

Spurs could do with some improvement on the wing, as the left-hand side of their attack has been underwhelming this season.

Compared to the right, Mohamed Kudus has that flank under control, with the Ghana international putting in standout performances week after week.

Many Spurs fans believe that the inclusion of another explosive winger would help Thomas Frank’s side reach another level entirely.
