Tottenham receive major boost in the race for the top four

Tottenham Hotspur are unlikely to go the rest of the season without dropping a single point in the Premier League, especially with away trips to both Liverpool and Man City to come.

Spurs have dropped 11 points out of their last possible twelve, slipping from League contenders to top four maybes in that time.

The Lilywhites still sit in third place, but only by a small margin, with Arsenal lurking just a point behind now.

Spurs will likely have to rely on their rivals dropping points over the next eight games, as well as picking up a healthy number themselves.

It was a good day for the North London side today as Chelsea played their game in hand away to Everton, putting them on the same number of matches played as Spurs, Man United, and Arsenal.

Chelsea lost the game 2-0, giving up the chance to close the gap on Spurs to just one point. This would have been extremely nervy for Spurs fans, but the table is looking a lot healthier than it could have.

Tottenham are now on 61 points, with Arsenal on 60, Man United on 58, and Chelsea on 57.
