Tottenham reignite interest in £44m in-form Serie A star after failed summer move

Another big-name attacker has now been added to Tottenham’s January wishlist as the Lilywhites look to add some star power to their forward line.

It appears to be an open secret that Spurs’ top priority in January is to sign a top-class winger, but the North London club are reportedly being flexible in their approach.

Rather than identifying one or two top targets, the Lilywhites have reportedly identified as many as seven wingers and are ready to move on quickly to other alternatives if a certain player moves out of their reach.

Yan Diomande, Savinho, Maghnes Akliouche, Omar Marmoush, Oscar Bobb, Kenan Yildiz, and Said El Mala have been mooted as targets, and another one has now been added to the list.

Tottenham hold an interest in a big-name Serie A star

A new report in TEAMtalk has now mentioned some of the same names as targets for Thomas Frank’s side, but they have also added another one to the list.

The outlet claims that Atalanta’s Ademola Lookman is also being eyed by the North London club this month.

It was well documented that Spurs tried hard to secure a deal for Lookman on transfer deadline day in the summer, but the forward stayed put at Atalanta.

It appears that the Premier League side’s interest in the former Everton man has not gone away since then.

Spurs could land Lookman for a lower fee

It has been suggested that the 28-year-old price tag has been slashed since the summer window.

This was according to a Football Insider, who reported back in November that Atalanta would be willing to sell Lookman for €50m (£44m) in January.

However, some sources have suggested that Atletico Madrid could offer competition to Tottenham in the race for Lookman.
