A newly promoted Premier League side has made a loan offer for Tottenham Hotspur teenage starlet Mikey Moore.

The young winger is back at Hotspur Way for pre-season after an outstanding loan spell at Rangers, which saw Moore win the SPL Young Player of the Year award.

Many Spurs fans were hoping to see the 18-year-old compete for a first-team spot in North London this season, but that does not appear on the cards.

According to reports, Tottenham have informed Moore that he will be loaned out again, as Roberto De Zerbi does not see a direct path for the youngster to get regular first-team football in the upcoming season.

Tottenham reject Premier League club’s loan offer for Mikey Moore

Football Insider have revealed that newly promoted Ipswich Town submitted a loan offer for the Tottenham academy graduate.

However, the Tractor Boys’ efforts fell short, with their bid being immediately sent back by the North London club.

This is because Spurs do not want to send Moore on loan to a side they expect to be battling relegation next season. Ironically, that’s what Moore would have been doing had he remained at Tottenham last season.

The report adds that Tottenham are hopeful of finding the 18-year-old a new club before their pre-season programme gets underway with a behind-closed-doors friendly clash against MK Dons on 22 July.

Moore is not likely to return to Rangers as top European clubs circle

Football Insider say that a loan move outside England could be on the cards for the winger, who is attracting interest from Eredivisie and Bundesliga clubs.

The report claims that Borussia Dortmund, FC Koln and PSV Eindhoven have all expressed an interest in signing Moore this summer.

Interestingly, the website adds that a return to Ibrox seems ‘increasingly unlikely’ for the teenager winger despite his successful spell in Glasgow last term.
