Tottenham release statement following reports about Harry Kane’s future

Tottenham Hotspur have this evening released a statement to talkSPORT following developments over Harry Kane’s future at the club.

Sky Sports reported earlier that the 27-year-old has reiterated his desire to leave the club this summer and wishes to remain in the Premier League.

The report suggests that the forward he wants to have his future resolved before reporting for duty with England ahead of next month’s European Championships with Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea having all made contact with his representatives CK66, which is run by his brother Charlie.

Tottenham did not directly address the speculation over Kane’s future in the statement and instead insisted that everyone should instead be focused on the club having a strong finish to the end of the season with just two matches remaining.

The statement on talkSPORT read: “We have a season to finish and we want to finish it as strongly as possible.

“That’s all everyone should be focusing on.”

Alasdair Gold has also reported this evening that while Kane is frustrated in North London, he has not told Tottenham he wants to leave.
