After the news breaking this morning that Hugo Lloris was pulled over and arrested for drink driving late last night, Tottenham have now released a statement on the matter.

A Spurs spokesman said: “The club takes matters such as this extremely seriously and it will be dealt with internally.”

Pochettino is said to have been told just before his press conference today, and is extremely unhappy with the situation.

The manager reportedly wants to hear Lloris’ version of events before he makes a decision on the future of the Tottenham captain’s armband.
