Tottenham reportedly make £45m bid for Serie A winger

According to a report by tribalfootball, Tottenham have made a £45m bid to lure Roma winger Cengiz Under away from his current club.

The 21-year-old has scored four goals so far this season, and would become Tottenham’s record signing if the rumours are true.

Erik Lamela was also once Tottenham’s record signing, and was also purchased from the Italian outfit Roma, and fans will be hoping he can follow in the Argentine’s footsteps.

Roma will have to give 20% of any fee back to Under’s former club of Istanbul Basaksehir, so they will be looking to get a good price for him.

The Mirror claim Roma have already turned down a £30m bid from Spurs, and have been holding out for the full £45m.

Arsenal are also said to be very keen on the young Turkish star, and perhaps that is enough of a reason to pay a little extra.

After not spending a penny in the summer, Spurs may have some cash held back for January.
