Tottenham reveal details of Gian Piero Ventrone respects at Brighton

Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed some of the details around their tribute to the late Gian Piero Ventrone.

The 61-year-old fitness coach of the north London club passed away yesterday and was known to be a very popular figure with the players and staff.

The Spurs players will wear t-shirts that pay tribute to their colleague during their warm-up prior to tomorrow evening’s Premier League game against Brighton and Hove Albion.

The t-shirts will feature the slogan ‘Always in our hearts — Gian Piero’ in both English and Italian (Evening Standard).

Both sets of players will also wear black armbands during the Premier League encounter at the Amex, with a minute’s applause also held ahead of kick-off at 5:30pm.

A number of Tottenham players yesterday paid their own personal tributes on social media to the man known as ‘Prof’ at Spurs.

There are further plans to honour Ventrone during Wednesday evening’s Champions League match against Eintracht Frankfurt at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
