Tottenham reveal player has returned to first-team training after injury

Tottenham Hotspur have now revealed that Ryan Sessegnon has returned to first-team training after a short spell on the sidelines.

The former Fulham man will be hoping to build up his fitness for the start of the Premier League season in just over a week, with Spurs taking on Man City.

Spurs posted a video of Sessegnon training with the first team this week to their Twitter with the caption, ‘back out there’.

Football London recently reported that Sessegnon would be touch and go to make the first game of the new Premier League season due to a minor hamstring injury.

Despite going out on loan to Hoffenheim last season, with some success, Sessegnon has reportedly held positive talks with Nuno Espirito Santo ahead of the new campaign.

The report suggested Nuno is a big fan of the left-sided youngster, having tried to sign him for Wolves during his time in charge there.

Spurs Web Opinion:

It’s great to see Sessegnon out there again and it seems only right that he be the back-up left-back this season. He represents a more like-for-like replacement for Sergio Reguilon than Ben Davies, with the Welshman arguably best for more defensive operations or a back five.
