Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that Destiny Udogie is expected to rejoin the squad for the start of pre-season.
Udogie has had an outstanding debut season in the Premier League, having established himself as one of the important cogs in this Tottenham side.
The Italian has thrived in the inverted full-back role, providing plenty of attacking thrust going forward while also turning in solid displays defensively.
It thus came as a major blow when the 21-year-old took to Instagram over the weekend to reveal that he has had surgery on his quadriceps and will not feature again this season.
Fabrizio Romano subsequently confirmed that the Tottenham man will also miss this summer’s European Championship in Germany, which comes as a major blow to the youngster, who looked set to be a starter for the Azzurri in the tournament.
Destiny Udogie will be back for Spurs pre-season
Tottenham have now revealed that Udogie will now begin his rehabilitation with the medical staff and is expected to be fully fit in time for pre-season.

While the injury is far from ideal for Udogie, it will perhaps give him the time he needs to recharge mentally after a gruelling season and come back fit and raring to go for the start of the 2024-25 campaign.
